Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the UpliftOS platform and services — including every application and agent you build, deploy, or distribute on it. UpliftOS is provided for lawful use only. By using UpliftOS, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account and removal of your applications.

1. Permitted Operations

UpliftOS is designed to help you:

  • Build, deploy, and operate applications for legitimate business purposes — for your own organization or your own customers
  • Build and deploy AI agents for legitimate business automation
  • Sell and install apps, agents, and templates through the Marketplace
  • Integrate with authorized third-party services and APIs
  • Process and analyze data you have rights to use
  • Automate workflows and business processes
  • Collaborate with team members on projects

2. Prohibited Operations

You may NOT use UpliftOS to:

Prohibited Applications

You may not build, deploy, distribute, or list on the Marketplace any application or agent that is designed or marketed to:

  • Covertly surveil, track, or monitor people without their knowledge and lawful consent (including stalkerware and intimate-partner surveillance)
  • Defraud, scam, or deceive — including phishing kits, fake-document or counterfeit generators, impersonation tools, and deceptive "support" operations
  • Exploit, sexualize, or endanger minors in any way
  • Facilitate violence, weapons development, or attacks on critical infrastructure
  • Conduct unlawful discrimination, social scoring, or profiling prohibited by applicable law (including the EU AI Act)
  • Facilitate illegal trade, money laundering, or evasion of law enforcement
  • Harvest personal data from end users under false pretenses or conceal who operates the application

We may review, suspend, or remove any application at any time, and we report illegal content and activity to law enforcement. The builder of an application remains responsible for it — see Section 5 of our Terms of Service.

Web Crawling & Automated Data Collection

UpliftOS provides crawling, scraping, and research tooling for lawful use only. You choose the targets; you carry the risk. When using these tools you may NOT:

  • Crawl or scrape a site whose terms of service or robots.txt prohibit it
  • Circumvent paywalls, logins, CAPTCHAs, rate limits, IP blocks, or other access controls
  • Collect personal data without a lawful basis, or scrape data to build surveillance or profiling databases
  • Overload or disrupt a target service with request volume
  • Republish scraped content in violation of copyright or database rights

It is your responsibility to check each target site's terms before crawling it. By using these tools you accept full responsibility for your targets and indemnify UpliftOS for claims arising from your data collection — see Sections 6 and 10 of our Terms of Service.

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Engage in fraud, money laundering, or financial crimes
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Distribute illegal content or materials

Harmful Activities

  • Harass, abuse, or threaten others
  • Generate or distribute malware or viruses
  • Conduct phishing or social engineering attacks
  • Create deepfakes or misleading content to harm others
  • Spam or send unsolicited communications

Security Violations

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Circumvent security measures or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt services or networks

Data Misuse

  • Process data without proper consent or legal basis
  • Scrape or harvest data from unauthorized sources
  • Violate privacy laws or regulations
  • Share or sell user data without authorization

AI & Communications

  • Violate the usage policies of our AI model providers (including Anthropic and OpenAI), which apply to your use of AI features
  • Use AI to impersonate a real person, or clone a voice, face, or likeness without permission
  • Send email, SMS, or voice calls in violation of our Outbound Communications Policy or AI Disclosure Policy

3. Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Depending on severity, we may take the following actions against your account:

  • Issue a warning and request remediation
  • Temporarily suspend access to specific features
  • Suspend your account pending investigation
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Report illegal activities to law enforcement
  • Pursue legal action for damages
