Terms for Applications Built on UpliftOS
Organizations and individuals use UpliftOS to build and operate their own applications. If you are using an application that was built on UpliftOS — as a customer, employee, or guest of the organization that built it — these terms explain who is responsible for what.
1. The Application Is Operated by Its Provider, Not UpliftOS
Each application built on UpliftOS is created, configured, and operated by the UpliftOS customer who built it (the "Provider"). UpliftOS supplies the underlying platform and infrastructure. UpliftOS is not the author, publisher, or operator of the application, and is not a party to any agreement between you and the Provider.
The Provider is responsible for the application's features, content, accuracy, availability, support, and legal compliance, and for its own terms of use and privacy notice. Questions, complaints, or requests about an application should go to its Provider first.
2. Your Data in the Application
Personal data you provide to an application built on UpliftOS is controlled by the Provider and governed by the Provider's privacy notice. UpliftOS processes that data on the Provider's behalf as a service provider / data processor, under our Data Processing Addendum and the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
UpliftOS also collects limited platform-level data when you use a built application — such as security logs, error and performance telemetry, and in-app feedback you submit through platform features — to operate, secure, and improve the platform. To exercise privacy rights over data an application holds about you, contact the Provider; for platform-level data, contact [email protected].
3. AI Features
Applications built on UpliftOS may include AI features — chat, voice, avatars, or AI-generated content. AI output can be inaccurate; do not rely on it as professional advice. Where the law requires disclosure of AI interactions, the Provider is responsible for that disclosure. See our AI Disclosure Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
When you use an application built on UpliftOS, you must not abuse the underlying platform: no attempts to gain unauthorized access, disrupt service, upload malicious code, or use the application for unlawful purposes. The prohibitions in our Acceptable Use Policy apply to your use of the platform through any built application.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Applications built on UpliftOS are provided by their Providers "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, UpliftOS disclaims all warranties for built applications and is not liable for their defects, bugs, errors, downtime, security issues, content, or the conduct of their Providers — including any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, a built application. Your remedies regarding an application lie with its Provider.
6. Report a Problem Application
If you believe an application built on UpliftOS is illegal, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful, report it to [email protected]. We review reports and may suspend or remove applications that violate the law or our policies.
