Delete your UpliftOS account

You can delete your UpliftOS account yourself on the web, in the desktop app, or in the UpliftOS app on iPhone, iPad or Android. You can also ask us to delete it for you by email.

Before you delete

Take a copy first. On the web or in the desktop app, go to My Settings › Identity › Data & Privacy and click Export My Data, or click Download my data in the window that deletes the account. Your browser downloads a file with everything that is yours alone: your profile, sign-ins and devices, what the AI remembers about you, your conversations with help, your notifications and settings, the details of your personal files and your memberships. Passwords, tokens and other credentials are never in it, and the files themselves stay in your Drive, where you can download them. Records that belong to an organization you worked in are that organization’s; security, billing and legal records about your account are available on request from [email protected] within 30 days. Once the account is deleted there is nothing left to download.

If you are the only owner of an organization that has other members, make one of them an owner first. Until you do, deleting your account is refused, so the organization is never left without an owner.

1. On the web or in the desktop app

  1. Sign in to UpliftOS with the account you want to delete.
  2. Click your profile photo at the top right, then click My Settings.
  3. Under Account, open Identity.
  4. Scroll down to Data & Privacy and click Delete Account.
  5. Click Email me a code. To make sure it is you, we email a six-digit code to the address on the account. It works for 10 minutes.
  6. Enter the code and click Delete account. You are signed out and the account is deleted immediately.

2. In the iPhone, iPad or Android app

  1. Open UpliftOS and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Tap your profile circle at the top right of the home screen.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the sheet and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. You are signed out and the account is deleted immediately.

3. By email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my UpliftOS account”. We confirm the request is yours before acting on it, and complete it within 30 days.

4. What is deleted

When you confirm, all of this is deleted at once and you are signed out everywhere:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, job title, bio and other profile details.
  • Your password, sign-in methods, two-factor authentication, recovery codes, signed-in sessions, devices and push tokens.
  • What the AI remembers about you: memory facts, personal knowledge, notes about people, conversation summaries, your chats with assistants and the patterns it learned.
  • Your conversations with help.
  • Your notifications, mentions, reminders, alerts you subscribed to, and your notification and email settings.
  • Files in your personal Drive and vault.
  • Apps and calendars you connected, including the access tokens UpliftOS held for them.
  • Ideas, workflows, templates, views, dashboards, brand guides, knowledge bases and AI-made artifacts you kept outside any organization.
  • Your settings: themes, modes, pins, favorites, installed agents, onboarding progress and what you have already seen.
  • Your reactions, likes, votes, follows, bookmarks, stars, read receipts, searches and viewing history.
  • Your place in every organization, team, channel, workspace, app and audience you belonged to.

Stored files — your profile photo, cover image and personal files — are removed from storage straight after. If that fails, we retry every hour until they are gone. Anything you pay for yourself is set to end when the period you have already paid for ends, so you are not charged again. We then send a confirmation to the email address the account had.

For apps you connected through Google, Salesforce, Slack or HubSpot, we also ask that service to cancel UpliftOS’s access. For any other service, UpliftOS’s copy of the access is deleted, but the service may still list UpliftOS as connected — remove it in that account’s security settings.

5. What is kept, and for how long

  • A closed account record. It cannot be signed in to, holds no profile details, and the email address is free to use for a new account. It keeps the name and email address the account had, so that audit history stays intact and we can answer legal and security requests about the account.
  • Work you did inside an organization — messages, projects, specs, apps, files, calls and the records of what you approved — belongs to that organization and stays under its retention policy, shown as coming from a deleted account.
  • Comments, reviews and feedback you posted where other people read them stay, shown as coming from a deleted account. Delete them before you delete your account if you want them gone.
  • Security and audit logs that mention the account, kept for as long as the Data Retention schedule says.
  • Billing and payment records, kept for 7 years as the law requires.
  • Records of the terms you accepted and the requests you made to us.
  • If you unsubscribed from email, the record of that, so we never contact you again.
  • Our own operational records, such as a waitlist entry or a staff invitation.
  • Your personal workspace — apps, files and chats in the workspace that is only yours — is not deleted automatically yet, and neither is an organization where you are the only member. Email [email protected] and we delete them within 30 days.
  • Backup copies are purged within 90 days.

Full retention periods are on the Data Retention & Deletion page.
