UpliftOS is built on a foundation of responsible AI development. AI powers both sides of the platform — it builds the applications you describe, and it runs the agents you deploy. We believe AI should empower individuals while respecting their autonomy and privacy.
1. Our AI Principles
Transparency
We clearly disclose when AI is being used and explain how decisions are made.
Human Control
Users maintain control over their AI agents and can override automated decisions.
Privacy-First
Your data is yours. We don't train on your data without explicit consent.
Safety
We implement safeguards to prevent harmful or unintended AI behaviors.
2. How We Use AI
- App Generation: AI builds, modifies, and maintains complete applications — code, databases, and interfaces — from your specifications
- Agent Execution: AI models power your autonomous agents to complete tasks
- Natural Language: Understanding your commands and generating responses
- Automation: Intelligently routing and processing workflows
- Analysis: Extracting insights from your data (with permission)
3. Data Usage for AI
We do NOT use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Your agent data, conversations, and workflows are:
- Processed only to provide the services you request
- Never shared with third parties for training purposes
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- Retained only as long as necessary
- Deletable upon your request
4. AI Model Providers
We use AI models from trusted providers including:
- Anthropic (Claude): Primary reasoning and agent execution
- OpenAI: Supplementary AI capabilities
- Google: Specialized analysis and embeddings
All providers are contractually bound to data protection standards and do not use your data for their model training (when using API access).
5. User Responsibilities
When using AI features, you agree to:
- Review and verify AI-generated outputs — including generated application code — before taking action or deploying to end users
- Not use AI agents or AI-built applications for illegal, harmful, or deceptive purposes
- Ensure you have rights to any data you process with AI
- Disclose AI-generated content when required by law or ethics
- Report any concerning AI behaviors to our team
6. AI in Applications You Build
Applications you build on UpliftOS can embed AI features and expose them to your own end users. When they do, you are the provider of that AI system, and you are responsible for:
- Disclosing AI interactions to your end users where the law requires (see our AI Disclosure Policy)
- Not deploying applications in high-risk or prohibited AI categories (for example, under the EU AI Act) without meeting the obligations those laws impose on you
- Quality, accuracy, and bias monitoring of AI features your application exposes
- Complying with the usage policies of the underlying AI model providers
