THE STORY

Children's Riverbend runs the workflows every health system runs — and a long tail of workflows no vendor will ever build well, because no vendor lives them. Medicaid renewals that decide whether a family keeps coverage. Recognition for the staff who hold a children's hospital together. An employee giving campaign that used to mean spreadsheets and a third-party tool.

The old answer to each of those was a procurement cycle: find a vendor, negotiate a contract, accept whatever the roadmap says, pay per seat forever. The new answer is an operating system. Children's Riverbend builds the app the workflow actually needs, on a platform that already knows their people, their access rules, and their compliance floor.

Three apps are in production today. None of them took a development team months. All of them inherit HIPAA-aware controls, audit trails, and single sign-on from the platform — compliance is the soil the apps grow in, not a retrofit each project must remember.

“We stopped waiting on vendor roadmaps. When a team sees a problem, we build the app — and it ships with the controls our environment requires on day one.”

WHAT THEY BUILT

Three apps, one substrate.

HEYMEDICAID
Medicaid renewal outreach that meets families where they are.

Families lose Medicaid coverage over paperwork, not eligibility. HeyMedicaid reaches them before the deadline does — plain language, on their phones.

High Five · Recognition feed

HIGH FIVE
Peer recognition for the people who hold a children's hospital together.

Recognition used to live in email threads and gift-card spreadsheets. High Five made it a habit — visible, values-tied, and on every phone.

Employee Giving · Campaign

EMPLOYEE GIVING
Internal giving campaigns, run in-house.

The annual giving campaign used to mean third-party fundraising tools and manual reconciliation. Now it's an app on the same platform as everything else.
